Repair A Home
Athens Habitat helps struggling homeowners maintain their homes through two programs to make sure families preserve their homeownership. Home maintenance tends to fall off the priority list when it becomes difficult to pay for basic living expenses. But over time, this deferred maintenance can cause unsafe living conditions. Our programs help low-income Clarke County homeowners who are challenged by age, disability, or circumstance obtain critical home repairs.
Brush With Kindness
Brush With Kindness makes needed repairs to the interiors or exteriors of homes in order to make them more livable. Budget amounts are capped by our bloc grant limits. Some of our available home repairs include, but are not limited to exterior painting, window/door, and general safety repairs.
In order to be eligible, you must be a low-income homeowner living in Clarke County and in need of home repair.
Accessibility Improvement Modification program (AIM)
Athens Habitat partners with Housing & Community Development to install access ramps and other home modifications for low-income, physically disabled individuals to improve their quality of life and access to their homes.
In order to be eligible, you must be a low-income, disabled homeowner in Clarke County. Call 706-521-6050 for more information.
